At 114.6 torrents per second one would have to conclude that less than 0.000001% of all Internet users engage in torrent downloads at any given time. It equally works for whatever argument one would try to make.Īccording to World Internet Users and Population Stats (see what I did there? STATS!) there are 1,581,571,589 Internet users (give or take one or two). My position is that 114.6 torrents per second is a meaningless number.

2DBoy will continue to produce software, and PC gaming lives on.Ĭlick to expand.Nice work in trying to twist what I wrote to support your argument (actually, I don't think you made an argument yet).ġ14.6 torrent downloads per second, which position is that number supposed to support. The publisher may have filed for bankruptcy, but I don't see that bringing 2DBoy down too. Thread Starter why are you all upset on 2DBoy's behalf when 2DBoy isn't even upset? Kinda strange if you ask me.Įdit: Just to be clear, 2DBoy are the ones *making* the software, and they don't seem to have any intentions of stopping as a result of pirates. by the way, just in case its not 100% clear, were not angry about piracy, we still think that DRM is a waste of time and money, we dont think that were losing sales due to piracy, and we have no intention of trying to fight it. But wait?Įdit: A rather significant statement from 2D BOYs Ron Carmel appears below in the comments. There's hundreds of other indy publishers/developers doing well at the moment, all their games will be available cracked, this implies it's a sustainable position, providing you can beat your sound like an angry article does it? Remember, 2dboy is the people all the evil pirates are "stealing" from.
#WORLD OF GOO BANKRUPT CRACKED#
Somehow it's always turned in to a big shocker when it happens in the games market and everyone looks for something to blame, when theres little to no evidence to suggest it was anything other than the natural order of things.ĪLL games suffer equally to piracy because all games are cracked within days of release, in fact most modern games are cracked either same day, and it's not uncommon for them to be cracked and released BEFORE the release date. Like almost all other markets out there, the games market has more companies crawling for business than the market can support, there is a natural order where some developers/publishers will go bust, like every other market in the world, it's perfectly normal where free trade is allowed.

Publishers, even good ones, or ones which support well made and/or popular titles can still go bust, there is no evidence that piracy has anything to do with it.īusinesses around the world go bust all the time, games development is not located in some magic bubble which shields the developers and publishers from the harsh realities of the business world.
